I am a grant consultant based in Seattle, Washington. I am passionate about helping nonprofits tell their stories and organizing complex information to craft competitive grant proposals. 

My background is in technical writing, where I spent 10 years translating technical and complex information into clear and concise content for a diverse set of users. Early in my professional writing career, I also created blog content for small businesses. My past experience taught me how to ask thoughtful questions, empathize with and understand my audience, and organize and present information in a way that resonates with readers. 

My grant writing journey began shortly after graduating from Western Washington University with a year-long grant writing internship. After the internship, I built my career in technical writing, developing expertise in research, interviewing subject matter experts, content strategy, and collaborating with stakeholders. Last year, I returned to grant writing through volunteering, drawing from my technical writing background to strengthen my expertise as a grant writer and funding strategist.

I believe successful grant writing begins with a strong content strategy and an inquisitive mind. Before writing a proposal, I want to fully understand your mission, the communities you serve, and how your programs align with funder priorities. By asking the right questions and developing a clear strategy, I help organizations communicate their impact with clarity, credibility, and confidence.
